More about me
Luca Sambucci
I am an Italian-Swiss, Rome-based technology enthusiast. I had my first computer in 1984, analysed my first malware in 1989, created my first web page in 1994. Throughout the years I worked mostly in the IT security industry.
Today, I specialize in AI security: developing and advising on strategies to protect AI systems from threats like prompt injection, adversarial attacks, and AI agent manipulation.
I've served as an expert for the European Commission, the Joint Research Centre, the European Defence Agency, and I contributed to the EU AI Office's Code of Practice for General-Purpose AI.
I'm also the founder of a startup focused on automated red teaming for large language models and AI agents. Alongside this, I write, speak, teach, and consult on AI security and governance, helping public and private organizations anticipate risks and build resilient systems.
Earlier in my career, I held leadership roles across enterprises, startups, and government, advising a government minister at age 27 and founding Italy's first cybersecurity blog in 2005. In 2019, I earned an Artificial Intelligence Developer specialization from IBM, deepening my technical foundation in AI development.
