I couldn’t help but notice how all successful people I’ve known (and I mean successful, not merely rich) had a bias for action. It’s probably the single most common trait among them that I was able to identify.
We always think that luck, or lack thereof, is half of the picture. And normally it is. But we can push the canvas and enlarge that picture. Making it bigger, shaping it further, occupying more space, if we truly want.
Luck or bad luck will always have an important part to play in our lives, sometimes a critical one, but our room for action isn’t limited to the other 50%. Rules can be bent, fortune can be incited. We have space to grow and expand our reach, our scope, creating a healthy imbalance between what we can only hope to receive and what we actively decide to achieve.
